The 19th PAAL Conference
The PAAL Conference is a forum for academic exchanges among scholars and practitioners in applied linguistics and related areas. The conference provides a venue for the dissemination of current research on a wide variety of issues concerning Asia and beyond. This year, the conference is co-sponsored by Cross-Cultural Distance Learning Research Center, Waseda University.
The 19th PAAL Conference is held at Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan from Sunday, 17th to Tuesday, 19th of August, 2014. Tokyo is the capital of Japan and one of the most populous cities in the world. After Tokugawa Shogunite establied the feudal government there, Tokyo has been Japan's political, economic, and academic center.

Presentation format
1.Paper: 20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for discussion and questions.
2.Poster: 2 hour blocks will be designated for display and discussion.
Submission guidelines
Proposals
All the presenters at PAAL 2014 are required to be a member of PAAL.
• Submit your proposal here.
• Limit your proposal to 400 words or less.
• The deadline of submission of proposals is 3rd May, 2014 9th May, 2014
• The notification of acceptance is expected to be sent by the 12th May, 2014.
Proceedings
All the presenters at PAAL 2014 are required to submit their papers to the Proceedings of PAAL 2014.
• The deadline of submission of proceedings is 30th June, 2014.
• Submit your paper on the website (This site is available on 1st of June, 2014).
• Limit your paper to 2 pages.
